Getting involved with a local non profit is always very exciting. Becoming a part of St. Baldrick's is an amazing decision you will never forget. Here are a few questions we get asked a lot. If a question hasn't been addressed here PLEASE do not hesitate to email us! We welcome questions!
NO. There is no registration fee to become part of our team. We ask that each volunteer and shavee spread their story, and try to RAISE as much money as possible for St. Baldrick's
YES! A goal is just a goal. Every dollar counts in this war and we are greatful for your help! Even if you don't reach your fundraising goal you still participate in the event.
Do I hav to Pay to be a shavee or volunteer?
If I don't reach my fundraising goal do I still shave or volunteer?
What happens on the day of the event?
Can any age shave?
YES. ANY age can participate in our event WITH parental consent. A parent MUST be with anyone under the age of 18 at all times. Please make sure your child understands it will take the hair some time to grow back, and that you will get looks. It's not so much about the age but the level of understanding of the child.
Can volunteers still fundraise for the event?
YES! Each volunteer is given their own fundraising page to share just as a shavee does. We hope our volunteers work just as hard to fundraise as our shavees! You're becoming part of something BIG! Let people know and no donation is too small!
Our event runs from 12-5pm and we ask all volunteers arive at 1130 and stay for the event. If we have enough volunteers you will only need to work HALF the event and enjoy the rest. We hope our shavees can join us for the entire day full of fun, but we understand not all can. The shaving portion of the event takes place between 2-4 pm. You will receive an email the week before the event with a shaving schedule.
If I am shaving my head can I pick someone to do it?
YES. All of our barbers have an active license in good standing with the state. If you have a loved one or a child you are shaving in honor of that would like to shave you at the event that is FINE WITH US!
Just please make sure you inform us ahead of time so we can prepare!
YES. 100% of the money you fundraise goes directly to The St. Baldrick's Foundation. 100% of the event proceeds, sales,and donations goes to the foundation as well. ONLY MONEY FROM PRE EVENT FUNDRAISERS IS USED FOR EVENT EXPENSES!!!
Does all the money I raise go to St. Baldrick's?
