We structure our event with families in mind. We want people to come and be able to enjoy EVERYTHING the event has to offer. Admission is only a $10 donation per child and it gives you a ticket package to do EVERYTHING at the event. A lot of our activities are open ended and can be done over and over, and your package gives you tickets to do all of the limited activities once. That way EVERY child gets to do EVERY activity at the event. Our events vary year to year but we are VERY excited about the activites planned for our 2016 HALLOWEEN themed event! Let's break out the costumes, have an amazing adventure, and conquer childhood cancer!

Brave the Shave Family Day was started in 2015. Our first event had five shavees and set the stage for a much bigger event for 2016. Our goals are pretty simple:

Raise as much money as possible for childhood cancer research

Tell children who have lost their hair in treatment that they are BOLD BALD AND BEAUTIFUL

Erase the misconception that childhood cancer is rare...if you love a child you should be fighting this war

Help as many local familes affected by cancer as possible...bringing light in the darkness is most important

Our event is set up to be filled with as much fun as possible. We want families to come out and create some amazing memories together. Our children are SPECIAL! We want to treat them that way. That means doing all we can to help fund treatments with their special bodies in mind. 100% of all proceeds, donations, and sales is given directly to The St. Baldrick's Foundation!

OUR STORY

OUR EVENT
OCTOBER 15TH 2016

We shave our heads to demand funding and awareness for the #1 disease related killer of our children. If you love a child then you belong in this war. Alone we are weak...but united we are strong."

-Event VEO-

"You can't meet these children and not have your soul changed. You can't not help after you see what an impact you're making"

-Event Volunteer-

" I wanted to be a part of something bigger and better than myself and at the same time stand in solidarity with the brave kids who are fighting, those who have fought and those who gained their angel wings far too soon"

2016 Honorary Family

Each yeah we select a local family and share their story. We want people to understand that childhood cancer is happening all around you. It's closer than you think. It's not a matter of will it come into your life...it's a matter of WHEN. This years family is

The Bradley Family

Kyler was diagnosed with DIPG at only ten years old. His family fights tirelessly by his side every day with hearts full of love and faith. Kyler had one wish... he wanted people to pray for him. He wanted a miracle. Kyler's story has touched so many lives and helped remind us to take a second and cherish life. He fights with more courage and strength than most five times his age. DIPG has made the LEAST amount of progress in treatment options. Having NO change in treatments in over            fifty years is UNACCEPTABLE.               We promise to keep screaming your story as loud as we can. UNTIL NO CHILD KNOWS  THE WORD CANCER!!!
